Input DOS command

Instead of the System interface action, "Input DOS command" action, Worksoft recommends using the System interface action "Execute Application" action when possible and only use Input DOS Command if necessary.

When to use Input DOS command action?

There are certain DOS commands which don't have corresponding standalone applications.  That is when the Certify Input DOS command action is required. For example "dir" is a DOS command without a corresponding executable.

If there is a separate executable for the command, use Execute Application. For example "taskkill.exe" should be used with the Execute Application action.
